Superuse Studios connects participants in the process of demolishing and building.
The website encourages local reuse of material and the global exchange of knowledge.
The startingpoint of the Recylicity foundation is to utilize waste for building, with a low amount of added energy for transport and modification. is a website with a connected database.
The database serves as a document where knowledge about waste and possible applications are collected.
We call this the Hergebruik Bouw Documentatie or HBD (Reuse Building Documentation). The HBD is comparable to the Nederlandse Bouw Documentatie or NBD (Dutch Building Documentation) for new materials. The HBD, which can be accessed online, is based on an ‘open-source’ system. distinguishes users and partakers. Users can access information, but partakers (invited by the organization or by own application) can also add information. The administrator of screens the content. The HBD is a growing system where knowledge is developed and stocks are kept up to date. The HBD provides the ability to use knowledge about materials that are preferably used locally can be exchanged globally.

The HBD is put in a object oriented database. Each object in the database has common characteristics like size and location. Besides that the database contains object specific information on the fields of assembly, use and material properties. Each type of user (provider, architect, contractor or demolisher) is presented their own view on the database. An architect can see examples of earlier uses and information about the use of specific materials in design. A contractor is connected to providers of materials and is handed information on how to use the materials in construction. (the website) is the backbone for exchanging information. is an initiative of 2012Architects and was supported by; Stimuleringsfonds voor Architectuur, Stichting Doen!, VSB-fonds, Stadsregio Rotterdam, Stichting Bevordering Volkskracht, Fonds BKVB.
